As yet so much to live opens with two gazes that meet. Stefania, 33 years old, three children, sophisticated and beautiful, and dark-eyed Virgilio.

They are separated by the bars of the dock in a courtroom. Virgilio is on trial for armed robbery and for being an accessory to murder.
